When sanding we provide a method for smoothing an installed floor, compensating for unevenness of the subfloor. We usually do this to renew the appearance of older floors. Our method involves sanding using successively finer grades of sandpaper to ensure even stain penetration when stains are used, as well as to eliminate visible scratches from coarser sandpaper grades used initially.
Sanding sealer is basically lacquer, but it contains zinc stearate, which is a soapy substance that makes the sealer easier to sand. The first coat of finish inevitably raises the wood grain, and when you use sanding sealer for that coat, the job of sanding the grain back down is more easily accomplished.
We use the most modern and environment friendly polyurethanes to provide finishes, a process called sealing. Our professional methods will sure guarantee you the most exquisite of floors to make you the envy of your neighbourhood.
